Here's one I never heard before. Today's Wagner - St John's game was called after seven innings due to "travel restrictions". Wagner was ahead 7-4 and gets the win. No explanation given for the term "travel restrictions". Anyone ever heard of this?

Earlier in the season, RU lost in extra inns to Omaha. According to the Omaha announce crew if Omaha hadn't scored in that inning it would have been declared a tie so that RU could make their flight.

Staten Island ferry issue?

The Big 10 has a travel rule on Sunday games that comes into play sometimes.
I think it’s something like an “a new inning is not allowed to start after 5:00pm local time”. You can finish the inning you are in if it runs past the time but not start a new inning.
Nebraska had a tie a couple years ago because of it.
If both schools have completed classes for the year it does not apply.

Fear of Long Island traffic that can turn a one hour drive into a 3 hour drive. On LI, people plan their day around traffic. People look at their watches much more than they do one another, so they can rush off to catch their bus, train, or just avoid the worst build up of traffic. It's an affliction that the residents of LI's four counties (Kings, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk) must endure.

It looks like it is faster from Bedminster to take the GWB than the Verrazano, which would cause me to miss the Belt Pkwy. Anyone do this route before? Neither looks pleasant, but even though the GWB gets backed up, the Belt blows.

Yes. That is a legit route, RaRa. Definitely leave early, use waze or your favorite map app, and then hope for the best.
