Tiny Park Ridge HS has had some amazing baseball teams through the years.
As well as a state championship basketball team from days of yore.

N.J. native set for MLB debut with Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Kansas City Royals, 7-1, on Thursday. The Rays will face the Royals again on Friday.

Was visiting my daughter in Tampa and took in Rays/Royals game Thursday. Sad. Couldn’t have been more than 5000 people there. You could buy tickets for $9 so cost is not issue. We had seats 10 rows directly behind home for $50. O don’t blame ownership for wanting to move as they are a successful franchise.

I thought for sure the first response would be a flattering comment about Herget’s Rutgers-connected college baseball coach at Kean University, who obviously has an eye for pitching talent and knows a thing or three about developing pitchers.

No matter how long it lasts, he finally made it here

Kevin Herget bounced from town to town in the minor leagues before finally, at the age of 31, getting the call to join the Tampa Bay Rays in the majors.
