OT. Does this site load and run slower than other online sites you go to?

I'm finding that to be the case. At first I thought I had a virus, but my computer seems to bog down and run slow or freeze only on the Rivals forums.

Sometimes when I am typing messages, there is a very noticeable lag between the keyboard and what appears on the screen. I do not experience this issue on other sites and message boards.

Glad to find out it isn't my computer or ISP.
At times having trouble with site loading slow when click on a thread also seems like ages to get reply to go through.
Other times no problem.

Depends which computer i'm working on really........ My macbook pro seems to hate this site (it's 3 years old), but on my desktop which runs Win7 it runs as fast as my internet will allow.

Just goes to show you that Mac is crap and is no rivals to a Windows machine.

lol to be fair, there's a huge disparity in specs between the two since I built my desktop rig for gaming. As far as laptops are concerned, Macbook pros have been a better product and last a lot longer than any windows laptop I've owned. Although the prices can get outrageous.

There are a couple/few things you can do to speed up your browsing experience.

Obviously, a fast internet connection is the primary thing. But also, in most cases, running an ad-blocker and a Javascript blocker will help to speed things up. It takes time to render some of the ad images and it takes time to execute scripts which you don't need (typically tracking scripts and adware scripts).

So if you don't have ad and script blocking plugins, install them. They're free. And they make you safer from malware. I use Ad-Block Plus and NoScript on Firefox.
