That's what they tell us. LOL

For the first one I would have been the second Engine there. Engine 33 on Great Jones Street would be first.

For the Stuy town address we were first.

There were a couple of incidents where it was clear the Angels were looking out for my girlfriend since they knew she was from the block.

I used to see firemen in KeyFood on Ave A buying crap-tons of food to cook for their shift and being somewhat envious of the type of comraderie that must form. In hindsight, maybe I was just hungry (the girlfriend was vegetarian).

In any event, thank you for your service.

Currently in Highland Park.

Grew up in Iselin, then moved to Rutgers. Finished my last semester while living in the on-campus housing overflow at the Crowne Plaza in Somerset, and then moved to the apartment upstairs from Giovanneli's for six months before moving to my current apartment in Highland Park.

I spent a week setting up a Dr's office in Mat-Su / Wasilla many years back. What a gorgeous part of the country.

How long ago were you in Ukraine and Belarus? Top notch women in those countries.

I live in Shenzhen, China. Any plans on how to watch the Washington game?
I would like to, if I could figure out how to get it. We don't have cable, just Internet, so that rules that out. Also I work weekends, which would make it difficult unless I could find some way to tape it.

Dude, were you battling roaches the whole time?
Believe it or not, no. The only incident I had with insects there was when my roommate left some food out on the coffee table and I came home from work around 1am and walked into an infestation of flying ants. I went across the street to buy some Raid, and got there just in time as the store was closing, but I explained the situation and they let me make the purchase. I then ran back home to discover that I locked myself out and my one roommate was on vacation and the other was home in South Orange. I asked a police officer at the corner if he had any way of getting me inside if I could prove I lived there, and he told me to just climb through a window. No idea how he wanted me to climb up the outside wall of the building up to the second floor. I then went into Giovanneli's and asked if they happened to have a key or something for upstairs, and he gave me a crowbar and a screwdriver. I was somehow able to use those to pry the door open. Finally got inside, killed all the flying ants, and got to sleep around 3am, about four or five hours before I had to wake up to go back to work.

For full disclosure, I lived there from January through mid-June. Perhaps if our lease went through the summer I would have run into cockroaches. Parking there sucked though because there is no driveway and it was really hard to find street parking. There's a driveway, but it's only for the Giovanneli's delivery drivers. The landlord's family showed up to clean the place up as I was moving my stuff out. When they went to leave, they were blocked into the driveway by a New Brunswick Parking Authority car. The guy driving it was inside eating pizza. They asked if he could move his car out of the way so they can back out of the driveway, and he told them to wait until he finishes eating. He comes out fifteen minutes later and before he moves his own illegally-parked car, he made a detour across the street to give someone else a ticket. As I watched this happen I was very glad to be moving out of New Brunswick.

I wonder if my company dismantled some of the work you did in Albany. We took apart a molecular sieve that I think was used in an alcohol drying process to repurpose up in NJ for a process down in Puerto Rico. That's confusing to read.
