Not exactly a classic, but honorable mention must go to “Pledge Night”. Filmed over winter break circa 1988, in the Delta Phi and Zeta Beta Tau houses on our campus.
another vote for Train to Busan. Very well done.Got to mention the original House on Haunted Hill, grew up watching it. Not the scariest but a fun watch from my youth.
Just watched a good Korean zombie movie,
Train to Busan.
JAWS- that's worse then the Blob- I would take that stupid fish. And give him a chicken stuffed with cyanide. After that, I'd shoot his ass with my bow , and fry him at a tailgate in the blue lot. Screw that guppy, I could kick his ass!!!
Zap, many of the syfy from our years had a mystery theme too because most of the monsters didn't reveal themselves until later in the movie.Monster of Piedras Blancas
Hideous Sun Demon
Attack of the crab monsters
The Brain from Planet Arous
It came from hell
Agree about The Exorcist! The shining might be the best of all time. Nicholson was awesome. Here's Johnny!!!!
But to add to bac's list.
1. The Exorcist
2. Night of the living dead
3. The Ring
4. The Birds

From Hell It Came (I think that is what you mean) is a stand out. Even as a little kid it makes you laugh.

Fabulous movie.I'll go with the original "Alien" (1979). Best scene.... John Hurt.....

Yep. And much (although not all) of the scary stuff happens off-camera. The imagination and anticipation is always so effective in scaring the crap out of us.Fabulous movie.
So is War of the worlds...original
It the Terror
