Stephen A would be quite the head coach hire! He would run out of time setting up the context of how he came to his tactic during timeouts though.😂Not sure I consider Gottlieb just a sports radio personality. It's not like they hired Stephen A Smith
I agree. At least he played college basketballNot sure I consider Gottlieb just a sports radio personality. It's not like they hired Stephen A Smith
I am old enough to remember the Triplett brothers of Toledo football fame playing some hoops at Toledo. I saw Toledo knock off #1 NYU and Barry Kramer (and Happy Hairston?) at MSG as a kid. One or both of the football playing Triplett’s may have played for that Toledo team. Mel Triplett had a very solid career with the NY Giants.Bannon era assistant Todd Kowalczyk was the head coach of Green Bay from 2002-2010 before taking over at Toledo where he has been head coach for 14 years. The dude has had a nice, stable career.
Because the are both Jewish? I can't think of any other similarities.Gottlieb reminds me, personality-wise, of Bruce Pearl. Let’s see if he grates on his counterparts like Pearl. Gottlieb will rattle some cages and make some noise. Whether he has Pearl’s bravado and roster building skill are other matters.
I can see it. I was thinking a cross between Dan Dakich and Steve Lappas.Gottlieb reminds me, personality-wise, of Bruce Pearl. Let’s see if he grates on his counterparts like Pearl. That's one way to beef up recruiting High School talent that might not be heavily recruited
Screamin’ A. actually played for Winston Salem St I thought (not D1 obviously). Gottlieb, I believe, broke some assist records during his college days…and I seem to recall broke some fairly serious laws due to a credit cards theft scandal.I agree. At least he played college basketball
