This means you have been spending $100/week, week in & week out, since 1971. A six pack cost what, $1.50 in the 70s? That means you were buying 9 six packs/day. They were $3 in the 90s, which means you dropped down to only 4 six packs/day.edit- I'm rough guessing about $250,000, not quite enough for a villa on my own island. Condo in South Florida, or house in Costa Rica perhaps.
family was in the business until I was 34...so a good deal of my expense in the early years, which were the heavy years was subsidized so to speak....a good thing. the 30 yrs I spent working in AC probably made up for that. but in hind sight...it was money well spent.I'm thinking for me at least, I could have saved a bundle ! LOL. Friday night after work, just opened a Dogfishhead 60. Probably the same routine since I was 18 (I'm now 63). Not to mention 45 years of tailgating, partying every weekend til recently (although I still 'drinks a bit') Friday - Sunday.
I probably could have retired 10 years ago and owned an island w a villa. Who knows. But I'm going to try to figure it out.
Cheers. Have a nice weekend.

If you were to actually crunch the numbers, you'd probably feel better finding you've spent way less than six figures.
Slowed way down since moving to Wenatchee, Wa. back in 94. Even with that, it's way too much.
