Interesting article on how SEC coaches plan to pay players once revenue sharing is approved, including the future use of some of their collectives. I expect the B1G to follow a similar model.

Do the math,” Florida coach Billy Napier told Yahoo Sports. “We’re talking $20 million (in allotted revenue sharing). In most athletic departments, football is 70-75% of the revenue. That’s $12.5-15 million. That’s the number we anticipate.”

LSU coach Brian Kelly describes his expected football roster budget: “I’d say between $14-17 million.”

Many of them also expect to continue utilizing their booster-led NIL collectives as a “sweetener,” one coach says, for their players. There’s more, too: Coaches believe the new football roster limit will settle at around 105 players — a figure that will permit schools to offer 20 more scholarships for the sport than the current NCAA maximum of 85
.

NU announced right after whatever ruling it was that they had set $22mil aside for the player pay. They didn’t give a breakdown of what sports would get what but they also said they would be using NIL on top of the annual $22mil+/- annually.

It also sounds like baseball rosters are gonna go to mid 30’s for players and so are the scholarships. Players can be on full scholarship. It isn’t going to be where the schools are required to give the full allotment. Each school can’t choose how many they want to do. Would be allowed to have entire team on full scholarship if a school wanted too.
