Some here. Some there. Hall of fame?
No one with a respected opionion doesn't think he's a ball of famerI agree but some don't which is crazy.
Anyone of note? Simply can't imagine someone not thinking Ichiro is HOF worthy.I agree but some don't which is crazy.
The thing is he got a very late start. His last 6 years is when most guys are retired. He didn't chime here until most guys are ending their peak. His has definitely been a career of two halves. His first 10 years, he averaged something like .330. Since 2011, he has averaged something like .280, reaching .300 only once (possibly a second time this year, in limited action). Yes, his fielding, arm, baserunning all have been exceptional. He's a Hall of Famer, but I don't believe he deserves to get in on the first ballot. The last 6 years of his career, he's been an average player.
