The more teams cut corners and try and build year to year in the portal, the more teams like Michigan are going to struggle. You can grab one or maybe 2 starters that way, but you can't grab 2 to 3 starters every year, and have any sort of roster that has depth.
RU, despite a large talent gap, finally has a full roster and was the deeper roster today.....primarily because of its players who have been in the program 2, 3 and 4 years.

I think, fortunately for the conference, that Slappy will be back next year.

What shocked me is they gave up down 8 with like a 1:20 left in the game. Just let RU dribble twenty seconds off the clock with no effort to foul or even go for a steal. We lost a game up 10 with less time last year, it was not “over” .
When they showed him on the bench a few seconds later with the “Never give up” sweatshirt it was very ironic to say the least
