OT: Maryland @ Wisconsin

That "very beatable" Terps team blew out the Miami team we lost to and beat Illinois last weekend, who just beat No. 2 Texas. Maryland will be a handful.
Maryland is up and down like most of the teams in the B1G. It depends on what day you play them. Sounds familiar. 🤔

Terps will most certainly be better than a year ago.

They played @Wisky and I never form an opinion based on one game on the road (i.e. RU @Miami). I think two B1G teams, maybe three had more than 5 road wins in conference last season. Rutgers had four conference road wins a year ago which is pretty decent. 8-2 at home and 4-6 on the road in this league makes you as close to an NCAAT lock as one can be (as we saw a year ago even with a home loss like Lafayette).

Maryland has been playing real well moving the ball and hitting 3’s from everywhere like 40% shooting from there.
They didn’t shoot well and still had the lead late as Wisconsin in a game they did not play great and had a number of defensive lapses. They will be a battle for us . The jokesters that come on here and say they are not impressed with them forget evidence like their blowout of Miami by 20 just a few games before we played them . Big 10 road games are absolute wars to get a W and unlike my initial impressions that the BIg 10 would be down this year because of all of the sophomore and freshman losses to the NBA and of course the talented upperclassmen that graduated , apparently it is not , our home games will be wars as well. Love our chances to win at home any night but the road win has to have a complete effort.

?? Maryland was losing almost the entire game. Wisconsin was only 17/27 at the line, watching live the game seemed further apart than the final score indicated.

We'll see ... I think Maryland will be somewhere in the middle of the conference when all is said and done.

Yes Maryland did not play well but if they would have made less than 5 more shots they could have won. Watching part of the game and reviewing the play by play , they were down early by 10 in the first 10 minutes. However, tied it at 29-29 with a minute to go in the half and only down 31-29 at half. Second half down 37-33 at the under16, up 41-40 at the under 12 , down 48-45 at the under 8 which was with 7 minutes to go and down 56-47 at the under 4. They cut it to 5 twice at 58-53 and at 55-50 with 2 minutes to go and they missed some shots and turned it over. They had a shot to win is my point. It was never out of reach in a game they played poorly and shot poorly , 38% for the game.

They shot crazy from the 3 point line. Beat them by making them score another way.
