But the kids on the team, though hurt, had to take confidence from that game. We laid a stinker in the next game, which wasn't a surprise. It was an emotional let down and Penn St. was home and playing very well.
We then went on to upset OSU who was playing great and ranked top 3. Even in a loss, the kids took a lot of confidence from Maryland. If there was any doubt before, they proved they could stand toe to toe and easily could have won that game, against what everyone perceived to be the best team in the country. Kids are confident now. Lacrosse is so competitive now, but there isn't team in college lacrosse that we can't beat. Being favored against #6 Hopkins is a testament to that. Le's also not forget, we are doing this without our most dynamic attackman. The team is really coming together after losing such an integral piece.
The game will be a battle. Wish I could go.
