OT: Monmouth's Bashir to K-State

Right sorry. I was pulling up this years stats but even at Illinois he was not worth that. His stats that year offer a glimmer of hope that maybe some of our guys can have one year of good shooting for us like JY did.

Thats all it really was - in 3 of 4 years Hawkins was a terrible FT shooter and bad from 3. Just that one junior year. Shooting is volatile.
no he wasnt and that is my point...huge failures at Indiana and Kansas State in portal...Nova too and Arky was headed that way until Calipari righted the ship

im pretty sure that Norlander and Goodman and Fanta who are players in college sports reporting have good intel
From the article:

"Matt Norlander and I didn't ask coaches what they know about NIL, if only because we already know that nobody really knows what's true and what isn't."

Norlander isn't dumb. He reports on what he hears, but he's not naive enough to believe it's all true.

They can report that "a source close to" a given player told them they got X dollars ... while also understanding that source may not be accurate or reliable.

Exactly no matter what they report they can’t be second guessed since no one knows the real numbers

quite honestly if we have the so called 4 million they say we have then we should be offering him and going with a 11 man roster
Been saying this we should be going the Maryland route and maximizing our money on strong players instead of 14-15 average ones

just from various articles and podcasts...they spent $2 million alone on Coleman Hawkins and that was put out by multiple sources

likely close to a miillion on former Michigan player Dug McDaniel

Indiana also among top 5 that didnt make tourney
Instead of focusing on the couple schools that spent money poorly and succeeded to justify whether NIL is necessary to win why not point out how many teams in the sweet 16 and elite 8 did have a lot of money AND spent it wisely

Nobody making a run this past year was living on band aids and bubble gum

If the kid from GW is our centerpiece you can pencil us in for the bottom 3 of the big 10 right now

Have to find a happy medium between having deep pockets which we’ll never have… and justifying having no money and a path to actual success
