A LOT of penalties. At one point each team had 3 in the penalty box. Old time hockey. Good stuff !
Was at the game sitting center ice in club seats . After Hathaways shenanigans in the second period Keefe put Big Mac out for all his shifts . He was yapping at him , cross checking and slashing him , Hathaway did not want the smoke . What a little shit he is . Dillon had that nice hit on Tippet . Glad the boys stepped up tonight .
Great win, how about Dillon's hit, that was big time.
We are now 12-4-4 with Kurtis MacDermid in the lineup.
Try for Saad, but I expect a bidding war. I hope we get him.

That first period looked like a continuation from Monday night's game. Pretty sloppy and sluggish until Dillon threw that big hit. They are a better team than PHI and asserted themselves well in the 2nd. Credit to Keefe for adjusting the D-pairings. Thought last night might have been Pesce's best game as a Devil. Luke also played a whale of a game - so glad he looked off Jack on that 2 on 1 - what a rip. That's now 6 pts in the last 4 games for Timo who was in the middle of everything last night. Hopefully he continues to heat up.
yea much better result, thank God. Losing to Tortellini always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I'm not sure either, but if he came cheaper, million or less, he is worth a shot IMHO.
Anyway late last night I read where it seems Edmonton with Chicago's old GM, Bowman were favorites to land him.
I'd play it patiently. Nico will be back, week to week is not long term. Haula should be back soon.
We have a relatively sparse schedule prior to the 4 nations break.
After last year I want Fitz to show he can smartly be proactive. While in playoff position, another bad stretch and we could be on the outside. Our schedule is sparse, some competitor's have a heavier schedule.
Look at what the GM of Carolina accomplished. Quietly he identified his desired trade pieces, and he made the blockbuster trade with no insider ever talking about it. I juxtapose what Fitz did LY to this. Everything was known, but no action was taken. I don't believe the story that Allen refused to be traded to the Devils until deadline day since he was 3rd Goalie in Montreal. After LY, missing the playoffs should be a fireball offense.
Last years team had bigger issues, including his best player having a shoulder which required surgery, and best d-man being out for the season. And oh yeah a bad style of play which hung their lousy goal tenders out to dry.
Should he have given up assets to try to squeeze that team into the playoffs? I'm glad they didn't.
This year is different, right now he has 2 centers out, both of whom will be back relatively soon. Imo we could use a LW to put on Nico's wing, that seems to be the biggest need, but otherwise the team looks pretty solid.

Terrible! I just looked at their schedule for the 6 games. I don't see 1 winnable game. They are in serious trouble. I have tickets for Thursday. Not sure if I am going. The Outlaws are in Morristown the same night. If I go to that, I know that my money will be better spent and I won't walk away frustrated.
No. Today was a winnable game. This is the same team that they beat 2 times in Europe to start the season. Remember, they lost to the Sharks 2 times this year. The list of games that were winnable, but they lost, is LOOOONG.
5 wins in 17 games since Christmas. I know they're down their 2 best players (this season) at the moment, but once again, this is getting ugly. Bratt, Mercer, Hamilton and Dillon were all horrendous yesterday. I guess the center depth really is that bad - 17/44 in the faceoff circle. 0/5 on the PP with a SHG against. Maybe Cotter is waking up a bit, but I'd be hard pressed to find another NHL team getting less from their bottom 6 forwards. And the beat reporters and team shills online can go on and on about them fighting back - how about not falling behind 3 goals to that team?

He was a ghost for months last year (outside of appearing in a Preds jersey at a ceremony in Nashville last Feb) - and let the season go down the toilet before addressing anything. This team is screaming for a shakeup of some sort. Now just 5 pts up on CBJ, who have a game in hand on NJ, this team profiles as a first round exit in 5 games.
