WOW your house must be a ball of fun. What do you do on Christmas make your kids play chess and have a fun night out at the Opera.
You're the type of movie goer that probably thought Boyhood was boring. Tough choice, Opera or SW.

Mike - I'll back you up here. I have no interest as well. I went to the movie theatre when the original came out and I fell asleep during the movie. As a result, I never have completely watched any of the Star Wars movies.
I have seen Logan's Run multiple times. Was never a big Star Trek fan but watched them all with my buds back in college. I do recall that I liked watching the Buck Rogers TV show back in the day. However that was to see Erin Gray in spandex.
Did you know George Lucas and get a prescreening because the first movie was released in 1977.[winking]Same here. Was rather bored with the first "Star Wars" waaayyyy back in 76 and have not seen any of the others since. Nor am I into any of the "action adventure" type movies being made since the 70s (Stallone, Schwarzenegger, etc.) up to the current fantasy adventure "in your face" type stuff with poor quality acting and little or no plot. Much prefer films in realistic settings about relationships between real people that ultimately make for interesting and/or humorous social commentary about the world we live in. But I'm definitely not averse to mystery or suspense thrillers that involve realistic techno type themes (Michael Chrichton, Dan Brown, etc.) with a touch of literary license.

Should I start a new thread that I 'MIGHT" go see the Star Wars movie? :sunglasses:
No, no, no. There is no middle ground, no room for reasoned analysis. You're either with us or against us. Dark or Light. Pro- or Anti-Star Wars. Do or do not...Should I start the "I probably will see Star Wars" thread?
The last sci-fi movie I sat through was Logan's Run.
Actually, it's simpler than that - if you strip out all the effects and futuristic stuff, the original Star Wars is essentially a classic Western - some have used the term, "Space Western."For some reason, many folks seem to classify Star Wars as a Sci Fi film. It's not Sci Fi, rather, it's an action-adventure fairy tale.... sort of a mythological coming-of-age hero's journey involving the struggle of good vs evil.
