Wow. Sorry Pete. Looks like they just weren't that into you. And by "they", I mean the entire flippin' MLB.Bregman to Red Sox. 3 years $120. Opt outs after both years.
If Padres want Jett and Sproat, as has been reported, then discussions should Cease.Pivetta to Padres. 4 years $55 million. Opt outs after 2 and 3.
Could be a sign of a Cease trade.
75 rbi's last year.$40 mil a year for Bregman???? That is insane
And funny that he also has opt out options...Why would he opt out?75 rbi's last year.
Hasn't had 100 in a season since 2019.
And not sure what this is about but only 44 walks last year, typically would be 80+ for the amount of games he played. OBP of .315.
I guess if he has a big year(hitting balls off and over the monster) he will look for a longer term deal? And funny that he also has opt out options...Why would he opt out?
Sorry but I'm gonna need a more credible source than that.
Not a bad top five of a lineup 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Mets in MLB Network Top 100 Right Now:
#4 - Juan Soto
#6 - Francisco Lindor
#49 - Pete Alonso
#81 - Mark Vientos
#91 - Brandon Nimmo

If Lindor wants him back (I’m sure he does), I wouldn’t be shockedStearns just said yesterday it's unlikely we're bringing back Iglesias because he wants the roster flexibility. If there's an injury maybe but seems the ship has sailed.
Unreal!!! Pete produced better numbers, yet there was no market for him. BS75 rbi's last year.

Wow, Pete is such a better player, it isn't even close!75 rbi's last year.

It is amazing how many Astro's players had their best years ever in 2018 and 2019...Unreal!!! Pete produced better numbers, yet there was no market for him. BS
Agree with the whole point but the funny thing is with this lineup- good chance the 8/9 guys have men on base when they come up- so, it may not be solo HR's.Lindor
Soto
Vientos
Alonso
Nimmo
Marte/Winker
Alvarez
McNeil/Acuna
Siri/Taylor
7-8 guys that can hit a mistake 450 feet
You need to come out ready to pitch from inning one
Possible Alvarez Siri @ 8-9 . Might be lower averages but you can easily give up a solo HR trying to avoid having men on base with Lindor and Soto looming
Key to season as in almost every season

Peterson to me already proved he's the real deal. He pitched many great games. I consider him a #2 at worse.Agree with the whole point but the funny thing is with this lineup- good chance the 8/9 guys have men on base when they come up- so, it may not be solo HR's.
Pitching- The two major pieces to starting pitching are really going to be Senga's health and if Peterson may be the real deal or not.
Maybe. But on the other hand, maybe he is pitching for his spot on the Opening Day roster. He and Megill are still optionable. Their competition for rotation spots (Blackburn and Canning) are not.Peterson to me already proved he's the real deal. He pitched many great games. I consider him a #2 at worse.
I don't think they will be in the six man rotation all season. I think it will be more of a swingman role, depending on off days. Maybe get 15-20 starts for the season. As they're going with the 6 man rotation I think Peterson is safe.
1. Senga
2. Manaea
3. Peterson
4. Montas
5. Holmes
6. Blackburn/Canning/Megill
Losers of #6 go to pen as long man in that Trevor Williams role. The other I'm not so sure. If it's Megill he might be better in a setup role.
I'm also not sure if Blackburn will be fully healthy to begin the season unless I missed something on that.
I'm not sure. It seems with Senga always wanting that extra rest and Holmes conversation to SP they'll be using that spot a lot. I think they will have a #6 or swing man and long man most of the year. Injuries will also take place as we know. Megill probably AAA to begin the season barring injuries.I don't think they will be in the six man rotation all season. I think it will be more of a swingman role, depending on off days. I don't think you need both a swingman and a long man. I guess we'll see.
There are many things in life that I do not comprehend. One of them is why starting pitchers, who are pitching fewer innings per start than ever before, need an extra day of rest.
And here is the thing- let’s say Senga really is tge Ace and Manaea and Peterson repeat last year…the rotation is all of a sudden very good.As they're going with the 6 man rotation I think Peterson is safe.

Great Lineup, my immediate reaction is if as a team they cut down on strikeouts and make the defense make plays with men on, they’d be unstoppable.Agree with the whole point but the funny thing is with this lineup- good chance the 8/9 guys have men on base when they come up- so, it may not be solo HR's.
