I like Marte, but he's one the player that has seen a reduction in playing time for a reason. When he was replaced for defensive reasons late in games, that was telling. Marte was + defender not too long ago. He can't run like he use to because of leg injuries. Somehow he suddenly has the ability to lead off a game?

A deal that they didn't want to make, but had no choice. He was out of options and there was no roster space for him. They tried to sneak him through waivers but no dice.
I always liked his potential with the Cubs. He definitely has power. Hopefully he gets a legit shot there. He had a pretty bad injury in a fall league game and it took him a while to recover. When he did and was called up, he ran into a numbers game and couldn't get consistent at bats.
It's funny- at 2-2 to start the season, we have fans jumping off the roof...

There is only a single Yankees thread. There was no separate Spring Training Thread.
I see what happened- I had the poster who started the thread on ignore. That hid the entire thread from my view.
Only so many hours in a day, and so I can’t imagine why I would follow a thread about a team that I don’t root for or follow.
Well, I love baseball and do follow the Yankees. I have always been a Met's fan but have been to many more Yankee games in my life. A past company I was with had great box seats between home plate and the visitor dugout. The 2nd section from the field. we had 4 seats that were in the 2nd row of that section and right on the aisle. Loved them as it had the food delivery. Just had to put your order on a paper order sheet and a couple of innings later- delivered to us. Great for taking clients to a game. Went to many playoff and world series games.
