The Raiders "Mad Bomber" has passed away at age 80. Even in these pass happy times he's still the franchise record holder for most TD passes in a season.

RIP. As a young kid I can remember those great AFL games with those high flying passing attacks. Its when I became a NY Jet fan and there were some great QBs, Lamonica, Namath, Hadl, Dawson, etc.

Wasn't Warren Wells his deep target threat? I don't think he overlapped with Cliff Branch. He was also the guy who was either removed or injured when George Blanda went on a streak of winning games as the Raiders back up QB.
