Cutting it a bit close here, but I could use some help here with suggestions on some restaurants in or around Asbury Park. Could be a BYOB or serving liquor and the cuisine doesn't make a difference. Good food, quite and nice atmosphere is what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance

No shortage of good restaurants, best advice is to make a reservation today and get there early to find parking.

Stella Marina on Ocean if you're up for Italian. If you can go to Red Bank try Bouna Sera on Maple by the Count Basie Theater.

I highly recommend "Moonstruck", "Pascal and Sabine", and the restaurant at the Hotel Tides.

Moonstruck: No reservations at this place, so last minute doesn't matter. The food is great. It has a nice lounge and smallbar downstairs where you can get drinks while you wait for your table. Best option.

Pascal & Sabine- very good, good service. Reservation, who knows.

Tides: I ate here at Valentine's Day last year, and I really enjoyed it. It is a little bit off the beaten path.

This!

Great suggestions here already (and I expect this thread to grow)....

I'll add 3:

1. Langosta Lounge on the Boardwalk has great food (curry is to die for)
2. Porta - upscale pizza - big blue building a block from the beach - not so much a quiet place though
3. Toast - if you're doing brunch this is the best

As of others have mentioned - Mogo is great for fast food and Moonstruck is perfect for a romantic dinner (took my wife there for anniversary a few years ago and was happy). Haven't been to Pascal and Sabine but have heard great things. Bottom line there are a TON of great choices in Asbury - good luck and enjoy!

Yes, Stella Marina is good too. I'd say it's second tier.

Mogo is awesome... but not really for date night.

I like to eat at the Brickwall, but again - not really Valentines day venue.

I love langosta lounge and would +1 it except for the fact he was looking for quite (quiet?). I wouldn't really call it quiet but the food is great and the atmosphere too. If you are in fact looking for quiet then maybe not the best choice.

If for Valentine's, Pascal and Sabine or Hotel Tides. A notch below would be Moonstruck or Stella Marina.

Whispers in Spring Lake is quiet and romantic if you want to avoid the traffic and crowds in Asbury Park.

Brando's in Asbury Park is great.

IF you can't find parking on the street, there is a deck on 605 Bangs Ave.

Sorry but you're not getting a table in Asbury on Tuesday for Valentines Saturday unless you're willing to eat before 4.

These suggestions are great, but you better set the stage to your significant other that you're going to be waiting a loooooooooooong time for a possible opening.

honestly, if you're hard pressed for a place that will have open reservations: think about yvonne's in neptune city. it's on rt 35. I had my birthday dinner there last summer - it was good! they used to be in Ocean Grove - after the fire, they decided to make a bold move to a full service restaurant.

Stella Marina didn't impress me. Do not go to Cubacon if cold. The place was freezing when I went about 3 weeks ago.

Pascal and Sabine is very good. Porta is not a quiet.

Another very good pizza place is Talula's on Cookman and it's a bit more romantic than Porta will be.

Saturday evening will be near 0 degrees out...

I recommend just Netflix n Chill

that would be my recommendation too..its going to be ****ing cold out...low teens with wind chills below zero...sounds romantic as you are walking the boardwalk

After you have eaten at the Windmill go check out the new music venue, House of Independents, on Cookman.

Stella Marina on Ocean if you're up for Italian. If you can go to Red Bank try Bouna Sera on Maple by the Count Basie Theater.

And if doesn't work out between the two of you...you can always head upstairs and find somebody else.:pimp:

I did that one NYE in Atlantic City - that was brutal.

Take the woman to go see Deadpool.
It's a nice romantic movie starring Ryan Reynolds.
