A great Laker back in the day. He was 86.
A true ambassador of the game. Some all time battles with the Knicks. RIP.
He averaged 27 points, 6.7 assists and 5.8 rebounds for his career.

Mr. Clutch!

I'm a little too young to remember him as a player, but I do remember when his Schaefer beer commercial aired often during sporting events at the end of his career.

When I was a freshman in high school, I met him and got his autograph at the RAC when he was coaching the Lakers.

R.I.P. to one of the all-time greats.

Walton. West. Dan Shaughnessy in the Boston Globe today had an interview with 95 year-old Bob Cousy. Legends passing on. Sad to see.

It is so true. Little by little we are losing most of the basketball legends of my youth. Jerry and Oscar were two of the greatest guards who ever played the game. May Jerry R.I.P.

I lived in LA when I was a kid. He was one of my childhood hero’s. I saw him in person when I was like 9 in a Sears parking lot along with the entire Laker team. He taught me how to shoot a basketball. He will be sorely missed. RIP Jerry!
