OT: Rutgers-Barnabas affiliation - this is a big deal

I remember seeing the dust fly when they demolished St Barnabas,on High St Newark,in the early Sixties.

I worked probation in Newark in the 90's. I was in the buildings that were built on this spot all the time. One day while I was up in the brick spires a massive gang brawl broke out in the courtyard. My probationer's family kept me in the apt while it happened. By the time NPD broke it all up, a dozen people went to the ER and one went to the morgue.

Exactly my point. Walk into any academic building associated Hospital etc., on any campus across the country from UPenn to UMichigan to UCLA and they are branded appropriately.

This is a chance to brand Rutgers appropriately
From High Point to Cape May! From The Delaware to Raritan Bay!

If I read the brand guidelines correctly, this would be a position for the shield.
On campus maybe.

But outside of that I hope (if not the much more recognizable Block R) it's not a stand alone but looks like this...

The Block R is used in a lot more than just sports. It is the school spirit logo and can be seen at many buildings that have nothing to do with sports.
I don't think you see it on academic buildings. You'd see either the seal or the shield or the RUTGERS script. The block R is on many non academic buildings though.

It's the school spirit logo but it came from Greg Schiano during the early 2000s.

I'm a Rutgers grad and physician. Robert wood Johnson medical school was wrestled from the university in a move that was nonsensical. There is no reason that the Rutgers name shouldn't be first and foremost here. The Rwj barnabus name makes no sense. The flagship u should have a flagship medical system. Pitt Michigan duke ... on and on.

Do you think Rutgers should obtain the RWJBarnabas system? Imagine the beuracracy. Maybe there's a way to call it Rutgers-RWJ hospital or something. UMDNJ used to have it's own hospital, University Hospital in Newark. It's also really not that great of a hospital.

I work for RWJBarnabas and it's already a huge beuracracy.
