Very likable team. Pike is doing a great job. They play good D and execute game plans well. I have been waiting on this for a long time.
The Basketball teams doing well and the hiring of Schiano sure has lifted my spirit. It's been a long time coming and I really need it. :cool2:

And after killing Villanova and North Carolina, plus taking down Kentucky earlier this season, Ohio State is now 1-3 in conference. The B1G is not for sissies this season. I thought you guys made a good hire in Pike. Looks as if he's starting to roll in Piscataway.
We have to do whatever it takes to keep Pike. He's going to be the hottest commodity in basketball.
This win is huge. It needs to be posted everywhere. Besides, Schiano was there and this affects our image and football recruiting.

This is the best time in RU sports in quite a long time. I honestly feel we may be turning the corner and becoming what many of us envisioned. Olympic sports are all on the upswing and finally it looks like we have the right coaches for hoops and football
Actually it's not. As mentioned earlier, Schiano (along with Nunzio and Fran Brown) was there along with a Brick City Lions Pop Warner football team. He arrived in the student section just after the first time out to a huge cheer.

I was kidding. I never mind when major successes in our non-football sports are shared on the football board.
Winnable. Illinois (10-5) is 31 on KenPom. We're 37. Of course, game is on the road. But yes, winnable.
BBall guy here and this team is legit. Not national power good but a real chance to make the tourney and win some games. Actual national rankings come out on Mondays so they will stay unranked till then but the computer ranking (called the NET ranking) is undated constantly and has us at #20. A win against Illinois will get us ranked.

I know you were kidding but just wanted to point out the Schiano and football kids that were there last night. The RAC is definetly a place to take recruits when it is hopping.
We have struggled with Maryland in the past, unable to handle their pressure on the ball. It remains to be seen if that happens again.
I think we match up well with many of our opponents this year. We have more depth and athleticism on the outside than many (Minnesota is not deep, Northwestern is not good, Nebraska is someone we whipped on the road and face again at home).
Playing at Ohio State can be tough. Michigan is an unknown but we play them at the RAC and at MSG. Winning at Purdue on their senior day could be hard too.
Cool. When they showed Schiano shaking hands with the players, I thought we could use him to fire up our hoops team at that stage.
