Well, you probably have a W against Northwestern. We were up-and-down at the beginning of the season and have now lost three key players to injury — Gaines, our team captain, is out for the year; Buie, our point guard, has a stress fracture and probably is out several weeks; and Turner, one of our first off the bench, is also out indefinitely. The Cats have had such a crippling run of injuries the last few years that we're beginning to wonder if the BB program is cursed. We're hoping to avoid 0-20 in the B1G. This might be our worst combined football-basketball year since the '80s dark ages.

They have a young impact big man, and with the rise of Mulcahy it looks like they have a legit pg,(to go along with Baker and McConnell who can play the position, but it looks like Mulcahy is more of a pure pg then either) . Then a ton a ton of guys who can play the 2 or 3.
They don't have an impact pf, but the college game is not like it used to be, so by having a legit big man and some good length at the 1-2-3 they have more size and length then most teams, while still bringing the athleticism.
I just like their balance in general, a shooter would be very helpful, but other wise they look like a pretty complete team.
I'm not expecting a win at Illinois. They ate us alive inside last year and we have no Baker.
