I vaguely remember there being a thread about visiting Sarasota. Is there a search function by which I can look for it? Or does anyone happen to recall where it is? thank you. My fiance and I would like to go there late in December (after Christmas) or early in January.

Thanks! I guess there was no specific thread -- just a mention of Sarasota in a thread about vacation recommendations. I'll come back and ask questions if our plans become firmer. BTW, how does one search on this forum?
