OT: Schiano was picked to replace Meyer after next year

Greg gets to be DC for one of the best teams in the country. He also learns a lot about offensive from Urban.

Two great seasons, Urban on his resume, former NFL HC, the Rutgers salvation; he will be a prime candidate for a great college HC job.

I think he made a brilliant move that is all about Greg.

That is the only thing I see in this hiring. Meyer wants to go pro and he wants to learn from Schiano about NFL and also transition the program who is ready to take over next year.

Schiano was given the position of co-DC with Luke Finnel. He will be no more than a glorified position coach. He had to get back in football someway.

We should be so lucky. With all due respect to GS, hiring him as HC might be one of the few things OSU could do to lessen the gap between them and RU.
