OT - Several WNBA players (including Essence Carson) near Istanbul attack

As a matter of perspective when we think about RU wins and losses, RU grad Essence was reportedly next door to the terrorist attack this evening in Istanbul and was confined due to the incident. She tweeted that she is OK. There were other WNBA players nearby and there are a couple dozen US women's basketball players who play in Turkey.

Let us hope for peace in this New Year!

Oh no, I forgot that she was there. I'm glad that she is okay (physically, at least). Turkey has been a popular destination for women's basketball players for a long time, and I think they've always felt safe there. Cappie spent a lot of time in Turkey. It's all so sad.
