OT- Sneakers

Kohls has good sneakers for the money. Plus at most times inc this weekend I bELieve $10 on Kohl's cash for every $50 spent). My advice is that one's feet R a precious commodity and one shouldn't buy cheap or uncomfortable sneakers to save a few bucks.

I'm not 9-5 now with $100 in the bank. For the last 3 months took every penny (only income I had incoming for: 1) My season ticket; 2) AAA 3)Health Club membership and $21,75 monthly fee ; 4) car was contract (this month only-ddn't wash my car for 3+ months) 4) car insurance; 5) Gas; 6) Prepaid phone card 7) top running shoes (I run 4-6 days on a treadmill 2-6.1 miles a job).

Check out "Runner's World" at the library (I may have a review copy here in my room) or reviews online. Two companies I buy my sneakers online from R either RNJ Sports or Holabird Sports (both in Maryland I believe).

Also try eBay.

Can I shop at Costco without being a member? I saw boots that they have and I think I might get boots instead of sneakers. I don't run but I walk/hike.
I will check the Kohls web site and see what they have.

And to be helpful, check out Sierra Trading Post for hiking shoes/boots. Just popped in and looks like they have some decent stuff for $30 - $40 in standard sizes (you can sort by price).

For hiking/everyday wear, I'd go with a light hiking shoe/trail runner.

Here's the "0 to $39" section: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/mens-shoes~d~146/priceor~$10-$39dotdot99/

Some decent-looking name brand shoes on closeout.

Can't beat em for $30. I think they might be somewhat insulated.. might be too warm for general use. I'll see if they have them in store next visit. You have to know someone with a a costco card.. borrow it and pay cash.

If you want top quality stuff you will pay for it. If you have a budget then you aim for the best for what money you have. Costco often has some decent deals in that side of the equation. Example: They have deals on the Surface 4.. but only the mid-range i5 model... not the tricked out i7. Its what they do... aim for the middle ground.

Its like when people talk about the best burger and you have people tossing out Kobi burgers from some fancy place.. that's nice.. but the topic was probably more geared to the best burger from a burger joint you pass by every day.

I went ahead and ordered them, the price seems right for a water proof leather boot. Without membership it was $1.50 more. They look good enough to be an on the town shoe and also hikers. If they don't fit or they suck I think I can bring them to the store for a refund. I hate buying shoes without trying them on so we shall see how it goes.

Good ole'-my laptop I'm using now is a Dell ?5759 (they didn't call it such) I purchased from Costco Online (~12/23/15). It is an i-7. They sell low, medium and high level configurations-many great for the money. Plus lifetime phone support (Costco number) and a 60 day return policy. Great configs for the money!

Extra point-if you R not set just received the new Kohls flyer. They have Adidas sneakers on sale for $55-$60. **If you can provide proof you're a season ticketholder to me and are willing to meet me in Hillsborough I have a coupon for 30% if I use my charge. That would bring your cost down to $39.50-$48. They may have other coupons around (there are several $10 on $50 associated with the sale that starts today (Thursday).

Id have to use my charge so cash on the spot. If combined over $50 I get to keep the related "Kohls cash". At least for the most part Adidas are decent sneakers. Youd be welcome to find others.

I think I am all set, I ended up ordering a pair of hiking boots instead of sneakers. I will probably go to Kohls to see if I like any of their shoes and if I see a pair that I love I may take your offer. Thank you so much for your offer by the way!

I bought 2 pair of shoes at the same time. The $17 Costco/Kirkland and a decent New Balance. I use the Costco as my everyday sneaker and the New Balance at the gym.
When bought I thought that the Costco may have been made by New Balance because they felt just about the same on my feet. Over time the Costco is wearing out quicker but that may because I use them more often and much different conditions than at the gym. I wonder if I had used the Costco at the gym and New Balance every day what the results would have been.

Places like Kohl's always have a clearance section on their websites. Sizes are hit or miss, but it might be worth a try,
