I saw that all the critics are hammering the movie, and I don't know why. It was finally a DC movie that was enjoyable to watch. Was it Guardians or Deadpool funny, no. Was it as good as Iron Man or The First Avenger, not really. But as a superhero movie, I thought it was pretty good. Certainly better than all the stuff that DC has been putting into the theaters the past 5 or 10 years. I read that people wanted more Joker but the Joker is not part of the Suicide Squad. Will Smith as Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn were really good.

I liked it. A lot better than Avengers 2 or Ant Man but not up to Dead Pool as you said. But I still liked it.

Curious why you would say that. Alot of people agree with you but then noone can pinpoint why they didn't like it.

1) The villain was terrible. They should have used Deathstroke a la Assault on Arkham
2) The action was bland. No notable scenes or moments.
3) The villains were hardly villainous. They literally had to verbally remind themselves that they are the bad guys. If they didn't say it, and if I didn't know a thing about comic books, I would have never known they were really bad guys.

Garbage movie.

It was garbage because they used the wrong villian? Because the bad guys who are good guys weren't enough of bad guys?

The action scenes were ok. The only one who really didn't do anything of note was captain boomerang but hes a horrible character anyway.

Haven't seen the movie but the idea that there is some moral scale of..

Evil Guys < Bad Guys < (normal public) < Good Guys

...and that we should root for the "bad guys" is just wrong on so many levels. But this movie and comic was not the first to do that. I suppose "The Dirty Dozen" was similar. Any "heist" film where you kinda want the crew to get away with it... same thing. Game of Thrones.. they are all bad guys.. there are not good guys.. that live long.

I'm not sure a film a lot of kids will see that glorifies the bad guys is a good idea.

A lot of those movies play off the idea that the people who are in the positions that you would assume to be "good guys" aren't really good at all. From the sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood to the woman who puts the Suicide Squad together, the supposed "good guys" are the real evil people. I'm OK with that because often real life can work like that.

As I said, I haven't seen the movie that brings up another disturbing trend in American cinema...

...ultimately, the bad guys are always ourselves. After decades of this tripe, we end up with an event like 9-11 and the media goes nuts asking what WE DID to bring this about... Why do they hate us?... We must have done something... it is very hard to find a movie (that touches on these subjects) where society and the establishment is moral and just and not at fault, ultimately.

Not that they used the wrong villain, but that the villain was a joke. There were people in the theater literally laughing at her when she was dancing. Not to mention the cliche open a portal to destroy the world plot device.

The team being made up of villains was supposed to be the novelty of the Suicide Squad. Otherwise it just becomes another generic CMB team up. I suggest you watch Assault on Arkham.

I really enjoyed it. much better than bat vs. superman.... It reminded me of dark night series. I had not read suicide squad b4. much better than ratings suggested. btw, hated guardians of galaxy which critics&ppl loved.
