OT: tailgate friends flooded, could use some help

If you tailgate in the Blue Lot or have passed through you know our tailgate. The lead couple of our group, RU grads, RU supporters, were hit hard by Ida last week. Their home was flooded and they lost everything, including their cars. They have insurance for the infrastructure but not for the contents. Any little bit would help them out a lot.

Terrible. But what policy would cover the structure but not contents? A flood policy covers both. A regular homeowners policy does not cover flood damage to structure or contents. ???

In some towns, flood insurance is so high nobody buys it. In Manville, Pompton Lakes, Wayne, Bound Brook, prices must be insane.

Sure enough. Haven't had FFI in a few years, but I remember a cap of $250k for structure and $100k for contents. Always had it combined.
