OT: Tower 1 Seaport, NYC abandoned high rise near South Street Seaport

Anyone aware of this? This article is the first I've heard of it, what a cluster####!

New York’s ‘Tower of Pisa’: 200-meter skyscraper left twisted in the middle of Manhattan
Yes, I saw a You Tube video on this. Since where it's located was originally a land fill they tried some type of cement injection technology to stabilize the ground instead of boring down to bedrock. They tried to save money as the bedrock was three times the depth in this area. I Own a Masonry company so to me it was very interesting.

Yes this goes back to 2018. Also known as the Leaning Tower of FiDi

Right. Has seemed to have dropped off the radar until this article. What a cluster.
Lawsuits filed in 2018 have stalled and remain unsettled and the city wants the building taken down but nothing has been done since. Didn't see anything new in the new article.

They are going to have to take it down and build it the right way. Would be irresponsible to do anything else.

I rode my bike down there 2-3 yrs ago to see if I could spot the lean but couldn’t. Probably was the angle.

Start across the street. Walk from the right to the left and it becomes apparent.
I pass it at least once a year on my bike as well. Nothing has changed in years!! It's like it completely abandoned.
