If you want to play courses, they have a few options. I think it’s best if you use it with a gaming laptop so the speed and graphics work best. I subscribed my first year and ran it off an iPad. I found the chipping and putting was horrible and got frustrated with playing courses. I think they’ve gotten better with the courses. I just use for practice like a driving range and it’s great for that purpose. You can just buy the Skytrak unit and not their software? It works with any software? I am not familiar with the setup and all the intricacies. Any info you can add would be great, a few buddies and I have been talking about setting something up in one of our garages. Thanks!
Pine Valley #5When I was a kid I signed up to caddie there because it was closest to home but ended up at to ECCC when I found out they paid $1 more per round.
Hard to imagine a better area Par 3 than #11 at Essex County.
That's correct. I don't have the skytrak yet but it basically just records the initial ball flight data. Any software can then take those numbers and convert them into what you see on a screen. I believe you need a (free) software utility to link GSpro and the skytrak but that's what most people do.You can just buy the Skytrak unit and not their software? It works with any software? You're right about that. What I did was buy a cheap mat, cut out a section, and insert a $100 hitting impact strip. Does the same thing.I have a good net that reruns the ball to my feet…and a range quality mat. Good mat is better on the hands and wrists if you hit a lot of balls. I hit hundreds of balls every day…so it is worth it.
I don’t even use it for playing rounds of golf. Just use it as a driving range and the monitor gives me feedback since I’m hitting into a net that’s 8 feet away from me.
It may surprise you, but I don't hang with any PV members. Besides my ego wouldn't stand for a 125-130 round there😟Pine Valley #5

I've been doing some research. SkyTrak is topnotch but expensive at $2,995. The Rapsodo MLM2PRO is only $699. The Rapsodo, however, requires a $199 per year subscription for the software, although one reviewer indicated that a subscription may not be needed. Both are pretty comparable for indoor use but the Rapsodo requires a little more space since it has to be set up several feet behind the ball, which is going to require a somewhat bigger space. Also, Rapsodo cannot be used for putting but SkyTrak can be used. https://www.playbetter.com/blogs/go...yk_2PByZY3XWwOMx_s8XjrWp-twXi8GcDukm4IQpTSYVqYou can just buy the Skytrak unit and not their software?
