Because we are valuable and the Big Ten wants to monetize games.
The same reason we are getting a ton of $ from B1G. B1G didnt invite us to be on WPIX next to The Great Space Coaster
College Hoops fans in the NJ/NY area have had an easier time finding SHU/FDU/ St Peter’s on local tv so far this season than Rutgers.
It would be great if RU MBB was exposed to more people in the area.

Oddly the reason Seton Hall is bumped to channel 9 is because the RU football game is on FS1 (where Seton Hall games are normally shown.

I can honestly say I don't think I have watched something on Channel 9 in like 20 years.
If your too lazy to punch the numbers in you end up going trough and pass 9 with the channel arrow up if you are on 2,4 or 7.

I heard next year’s class is pissed about the Channel 9 thing and they’re already trying get out of their letters of intent - half to Wagner, half to SHU.
