OT: Why can’t RU be televised on NY Channel-9?

The last time I remember RU playing on Channel 9 was Nov. 29, 2003. It picked up the ESPN+ feed for this RU-Wisconsin game at Kohl Center.
Maybe we can organize a gofundme to generate the $10 needed so you can watch the 2 remaining games on BIG+.

We are in the BIG!!! We were chosen for our presence in the NY metropolitan area. The fact is that the local channels cannot come close to offering the league the money we get from others.
As already mentioned, I just paid the BIG+ fee for Rutgers only coverage. It costs me the same as a trip to Starbucks with my wife for two overly priced lattes. Trust me, the streaming fee is a lot more enjoyable and lasts a hell of a lot longer. ☕

He knows. He's just busting balls, but the thread yielded some funny responses and some good (and some not so good) memories of Channel 9.

I have been boycotting Panera. The portion size has gotten downright delicious. The size of the salad that equals 1 month of B1G+ is so so so small!
Other than Family Feud, is there a reason to turn to Channel 9?? I haven't had to use my rabbit ears on a TV since I stayed in the River Dorms or Busch/Livingston campus back in the day.
My claim to fame is that i lives in a dorm the previous year was lived in by Eric Young allegedly.
Actually the best show was Bedlam from Boston (9 at 9) pro wrestling, back before wresting was fixed 🙄
