Are any of the RU/NJRTC coaches going with AA to the Pan Am games?
Trackwrestling.com has live updates and brackets. I think Ashnault is in a round robin.Brackets available anywhere?
The US team went 22-0 in the prelims, crazy dominance
Yep, not a ton of international talent there. But, Colon took out the Cuban, who is a defending world champion, Burroughs took out Franklin Gomez, MSU and trains at NLWC. Tough opponent. Snyder also has a tough Cuban in the finals. Does a gold medal here qualify the weight or wrestler for anything?
It took
@AnthonyAshnault
roughly four minutes total to win win four matches at the Pan American Championships. He's the gold medalist at 70 kilograms.
Whats crazy is Team USA only loss almost came from The great JB
Any medal guarantees a spot in the world team trials. Ash has this locked up at this point.
Any idea if In the 2020 cycle he’ll go up? 70 isn’t an Olympic weight, and 74 is JB or even dake. Can he make 65?
65 kg = 143 lbs.
A extra 6 pounds from his cut for NCAA.
It is probably a hard cut, but if his goal is an Olympic medal, he has to try,
The same Franklin Gomez who wrestled 133 in college!? if so, he must have said goodbye to weight cutting.Whats crazy is Team USA only loss almost came from The great JB
