Paul James invited to rookie minicamp tryout with the Cleveland Browns

poor bastard, I am a Browns fan and they destroy players NFL dreams by signing them.

Cleveland is one of the black holes of NFL. But James wouldn't get drafted/signed by most due to injury history. Browns are just the team to allow James a shot. He'll probably make the team. If he plays sparingly he might string a few years together. He might avoid injury if he runs across a good coach who knows how to adjust his shoes (no heel spikes)

He would also avoid injuries if players like the navy player didn't dive at his knee from the side with their helmet.

This is a great spot for James. Not only does Cleveland have the worst RB depth chart in the league, they had 14 draft picks and did not take a RB, and he is the only RB among their rookie free agent signings so far.

I think when all is said and done, there will be several available veteran RBs, like McFadden, Foster, maybe even McCoy that could wind up in Cleveland, but James will have his shot to make an impression and get signed.
