Don't see this as the outcome.I liked Paul as a player probably more than most. That said, if he goes to an upper echelon Big 10 team intent on beating us, then he's been full of crap with all his love for Rutgers.

Why are you policing how other fans feel? The justification is he graduated in 3 years and still gave us an extra year. Grown men getting upset over a fellow alums decision is comical.
Because it's frankly embarrassing. A kid that did everything he was asked to do is getting ripped by fellow alums. That reflects poorly on the alums we have. Why are you policing how other fans feel?
Oh the old … You can’t tell me how I should feel !! You sound like an ex wife !!Why are you policing how other fans feel?
I don't think he ends up there but we'll see.I like Mulchahy the way I also like Draymond. But if he plays for another B1G school, I'd be pretty upset with him. I hope Paul can get a good NIL deal with St Johns.
Lol...I dont crave any attention, so I'm embarrassed for you that you even went down that avenue. Yes, I appreciated what he did for RU and cheered him on during that time. Based on the timing and how the portal works (i.e. graduates having different rules for portal entry and how most undergrad portal designees were already committed), he screwed his coach, the team and also the fan base. If you took a poll whether Paul screwed the team over vs not, the majority would say he did I bet. I am a fiercely loyal person and believe in commitments and honoring them. Paul left the team at the altar and for that and based on my beliefs, he fails in my book. In regards to your last sentence, my roles have changed and I am with the same organization for the past 23 years. So another swing and a miss on your assumptions. It wasn't a last second defection. He could've waited til September if he really wanted to be a jerk. He went through the NBA evaluation process and decided he wasn't ready for NBA yet.
I'm embarrassed I'm even giving you the attention you crave, Paul gave 4 years (1 more than he technically had to since he graduated last year). He also is a Rutgers alum.
Good for Paul to spread his wings after his role was going to be changed.
Something tells me if your manager tells you that your role is changing you'd be inclined to look around too.
You were this time.My judgment is usually not way off base.
Did your role change voluntarily or did your manager change your role? There's a differenceLol...I dont crave any attention, so I'm embarrassed for you that you even went down that avenue. I responded to your post indicating the change as directed by a manager. The decision was not mine.Did your role change voluntarily or did your manager change your role? There's a difference

I mean he feels his best chance at the next level is at PG. So he's moving on to play PG. He hinted at that in his farewell message too. I think the writing was on the wall when Fernandes was brought in. Think Paul would've made a solid SF but if he feels like he's best at PG he should go seek it out.I have also decided I wasn't ready for the NBA yet. I'll check back in with the NBA next year and tell them my decision.
Note - I don't care that Paul decided to leave but that wording was funny had to make a joke.
Put a price tag on a RU legacy?PM can do whatever he wants just think it’s a dumb move, that is very short sighted. He really blows off his RU legacy and becomes a play for higher guy somewhere, no matter what he does it will be little noted nor long remembered. There is lots of money to be made in this market post basketball why walk away.
The team will change this year perhaps he felt his style of play no longer would be complimentary?
At one of his last post games he referenced what a great coach Pike was if he was sincere why walk out the back door, when you could finish off a hell of a career and cement your legacy?
Ru legacy ?? What are we Duke.Put a price tag on a RU legacy?
but despite that , there are some RU players over the course if RU's MBB history that could be considered legacy players.Ru legacy ?? What are we Duke.
Historically our program is a s stinker
Yes, Bill Foster was the bestbut despite that , there are some RU players over the course if RU's MBB history that could be considered legacy players.
Also one HC in particlure must be considered someone that left a legacy other RUMBB HCs have to live up to
Exactly this. If he wants to play PG and Pikiell wants him at SF he should look elsewhere. I assure everyone here he has nothing against Pikiell or Rutgers and will likely be back at the RAC at some point in the future. Won't be this year.i wanted Paul on our team this year but don’t fault that he decided to leave
regardless of the timing. He clearly is someone who gives a lot of thought to the situation and decided that his role this year would change so he’s moving on to a place that fits with his desire to play PG. I would never boo him at the RAC, even if he returned with a B1G opponent.
thanks, make it two that every RU MBB HC have to live up to their legacy.Yes, Bill Foster was the best
LOL. He could play 5-10 more years in college and he wouldn't be ready for the NBA.I have also decided I wasn't ready for the NBA yet. I'll check back in with the NBA next year and tell them my decision.

most college players are like that.LOL. He could play 5-10 more years in college and he wouldn't be ready for the NBA.
Something tells me that Paul ends up at ND. He wanted to go there in hs but didn’t get a sniff from Mike Brey.
ND is coming off a terrible season (11-21, 3-17) and has a depleted roster. Shrewsbury brought 2 players from PSU but they are very inexperienced in the backcourt.
In a way I do too, but not in a malicious way.I hope he fails miserably at his next stop
That's a rude thing to say about a Rutgers alum. #4 all time in assists in program history. He did everything he was asked to do on and off the court including staying an extra year.I hope he fails miserably at his next stop
It’s not rude not to want to see him go somewhere else (another high major) and perform like a star. That reflects on RU as if another program developed him better than us. We ought to want what’s best for RU’s future. No hard feelings. I certainly wish him a successful, healthy career overseas once his college playing days are over. That's a rude thing to say about a Rutgers alum. #4 all time in assists in program history. RU will be just fine. Have no doubt. It’s not rude not to want to see him go somewhere else (another high major) and perform like a star. Should have said wherever his next trip leads him. 😂 😂 😂I hope he fails miserably at his next stop
Cement your legacy as what?PM can do whatever he wants just think it’s a dumb move, that is very short sighted. Never implied otherwise. But for the recruiting pipeline, it’s still not a bad thing to have a track record of kids who leave us as transfers having the most collegiate success at Rutgers. In general, that demonstrates that we’re good at bringing out the best in our playersRU will be just fine. Have no doubt.
Get ready for a point guard who can’t scoreWe'll take him in a heartbeat. ND is a great fit for him. He would have a chance to get the minutes he seeks and a great Grad Degree .
To close, Notre Dame or a non B1G midwest school or non B1G anywhere except an east coast program.I like Mulchahy the way I also like Draymond. But if he plays for another B1G school, I'd be pretty upset with him. I hope Paul can get a good NIL deal with St Johns.
if others can pick up the slack, non scoring PGs can help programs be winning ones and be considered one of the tourney's better seedsGet ready for a point guard who can’t score

He did but for some reason our classless fans want to turn their backs on a Rutgers alum and one of the best players in our programs history.Didn't he do that here ?
most of the time he distributed to the shot makers while not being a scoring threat .Didn't he do that here ?
