Funny on a few levels.Peppers may eventually become one of the best players to ever come out of Jersey, but you do realize he's not even considered the best ***DB*** at Michigan, right?
'cos Al Davis is dead. There is no way a team is going to waste the #1 pick on a player that plays soecials, some offense but does not dominate at his future position
OSU wins by 20 tomorrow.
The most hared that a stretch, too many players ahead for him to jump to the fronr of the line.I think he is a smart kid who will embrace the opportunity and become a marketing machine.
I am so sorry that I HAVE to root for Michigan tomorrow. it hurts.
If Peppers has a huge game on D, O and Specials leading Michigan to a big win, he could win the Heisman Trophy. I told my friends when he was a freshman at Bosco, he would become a 4 or 5 star prospect. By his junior year I told the same friends, he'd be an All American in College. By his senior year at PC I told them he'd contend for a Heisman Trophy if his College Coach let him play O, D and Specials. Give Harbaugh credit for fully utilizing his talents. Just sucks it wasn't here at RU.
I remember having a debate here with RU Hudson when Peppers was a jr or senior that he might be the best DB ever to come out of NJ. Hudson claimed Will Hill was still better as he had shown what he could do at Florida. He was right, Peppers hadn't arrived in college yet.
Now that I think of it, Peppers still has a ways to catch Passaic HS Jack Tatum. 2x AA, and multiple year NFL All Pro. Made some all century teams as well.
Michigan's only chance is to outmuscle them because Ohio State definitely has the speed advantage.
Minkah Fitzpatrick dominated peppers on both sides of the ball at MetLife when Peppers was a senior. In the words of Junior Soprano, not really the makings of the best anything to ever come out of Jersey.
My crystal ball couldn't control for Will Hill's inability to not smoke weed. And despite the weed smoking, Hill was still a starter on a national title team, first team frosh All-American and when not in trouble (which admittedly wasn't often) a top 8 NFL safety. Peppers still has a ways to go in the resume department.
You shouldn't be so argumentative with vkj. He's probably the only person here who can put your shoulder back in its socket after your done patting yourself on the back...
Brian Urlacher played a similar role in college to Peppers..a cross between a safety and a linebacker.. he made a great transition to NFL lb... maybe Peppers can do the same.Peppers will likely be a high draft pick. I don't know enough to predict how his skills will translate to the NFL, but I will predict that his immature, self-centered, look at me behavior will translate to an attitude adjustment the day the veteran players of whatever team drafts him report to camp. I can't imagine veteran NFL players putting up with him. No even his own teammates.
See, this is how you make internet friends. When I was in back pain about 8 years ago, vkj gave me some very good advice and also offerred to see me professionally if I did not improve quickly, which I did thanks in part to his advice. I appreciate his knowledge of football, physiology, medicine etc. As I appreciate your knowledge of football, politics, military etc. I love talking football, and a good debate is fun, imo. If the banter back and forth here wasn't fun and informative, I wouldn't be reading here everyday.
Have a good holidays.
He walks off the field with Harbaugh and the police escort instead of going to shake hands with his opponents. What a f*cking douche bag.
I would guess this us why..... Still a DB azzHe walks off the field with Harbaugh and the police escort instead of going to shake hands with his opponents. What a f*cking douche bag.
