Pike is building with players that are interchangeable and can slide into multiple positions. Like point guards and 2guards. 2guards sliding to play the three. Three wings that are big that can play the 2, 3 or 4, like Issa and Harper if needed. Getting Eugene to be a bit of a stretch 4, as well as a 5 at times and a three at times is really tremendous development. I love our height and length this year which hopefully will continue to get deflections and blocks like in the Miami game and that will be a staple of future Pike teams . We still will always need a stud shooter , who can also take anyone off the dribble and get us a basket or get to the line to stop any drought . When Pike gets that player or if Harper turns into that player, then we will have arrived back as a basketball school like we were in the 70’s and early 80’s.
