I do not think the premise of the post is even possible.
That said, with all due respect to Shack - who I love:
1) Jerome Coleman and Mike Williams bear almost no resemblance to each other as players. Coleman was a very good ball hawk (i.e. steals), but otherwise a very mediocre defender. He was VERY streaky shooter, who could carry the team, and though he could drive, that was not a major part of his game. Williams shooting, though occasionally streaky, really is nothing like Coleman's shooting at Coleman's best (not nearly as good as Coleman's shooting). Williams actually has a much more diversified offensive game than did Coleman - he just is not as good a shooter. And Williams is a much better overall defender.
2) Laurent bears no resemblance to Abdel Anderson. I do not agree that Laurent has a reliable mid-range jump shot: Or at least he has not shown that capability at all, to date. Anderson was a very, very good mid-range shooter, for his entire career. Anderson was also a REALLY good defender. Laurent has not shown that capability at all - and not because he played the 4 ... he shot mid-range shots, but poorly. I think the coaches would love Laurent to develop into a player resembling Anderson, but I see no resemblance at this time. If anything, Laurent reminds me of a taller and quicker Daryl Smith - though he is not yet as good a defender.
That said, I would say that Freeman's game bears some resemblance to Jamal Phillips' or Andrew Kobalsofsky's games - though Freeman is stronger, and more athletic ...possibly bigger also. Hopefully a more consistent shooter, also.
From what I have heard in the press, and seen from tapes from 2 years ago, Johnson's game MAY bear some resemblance to Damon Santiago's game. Hopefully he can play like Santiago did in Santiago's Senior year, eh?
