I know reports are not out yet but any thoughts on who has a chance to play as a true frosh? Thinking Blessuan Austin, Marques Ford and maybe Blunt. Talented db, de and wr who can possibly crack the 2 deep. There's usually one or two that make it. Will be interesting to see.

Bless out of need (and skill), Ford might need a year to add size, I don't see Blunt getting on the field this year.

Harris and Griffin on offense. Maybe Bateky on DLine. Austin at CB seems like a lock, and maybe Adams.

Harris, Austin, Clayton (if eligible), Griffin, James, Morris

James and Morris aren't playing unless we've got a ton of injuries. Neither one is physically ready, especially a linebacker

I think Harris, Griffin, and Austin are the most likely.

I think Austin and Ford are locks. All others a guess, but we seem to have very big opportunities for PT at TE and DB

easiest to first look at the issue from a position perspective, generally freshman are not going to play on either line or at LB, not only do you have to be physically ready, you need to be mentally ready. easiest position to play early are at WR, RB, and DB and even with these positions you need to master the mental side to get on the field. Injuries and depth also come into play.

Ford doesn't have the size to play DE yet. I think he redshirts. Austin is the 1 player I'd say is 100%. Others likely to play are DB Adams (depending on Barnwell's status), DE./DT Bateky, WR Harris, and TE Griffin. There could be a couple more that play special teams.
