I voted Sadexcuse although Oklahoma was equally not deserving.

I am going with Arizona State. While they had 2 huge wins earlier in the season (Kansas & Xavier), they lost 5 of their last 6 and were 9th in a conference that really only deserved 2 teams (under .500 in conference as well). RPI of 66 isn't very compelling either.

Is amazing when Vitale talks about Okie State. Beat Kansas twice and won at West Virginia. Beat Oklahoma twice and not in the field. OMG. Oklahoma lost 11 out of 15 games.
Dukie Vitale was right. That one surprised me too.

Okie State was 8-12 vs tourney teams..thats why I had them in. They won alot...however I think it was their 295 non conference SOS that did them in
Fair point, but look at Florida State and they got a 9 seed and their Non Conference SOS was 314.

I hear you, but I think they were more deserving than Oklahoma and Sadexcuse.

thats true..plus OSU beat FSU and FSU was only 5-6....but in this particular case OKie St had a rpi of 88 and FSU 54 and a better recrod 20-11/19-14....FSU at least was able to overcome their sketch sos numbers with a better overall rpi somehow while OSU languised...they would have been the highest pri team to be selected as an at large....still as we dig deep, there is nothing really appreciably different than them and OSU may have done more

It is clear that the committee has an ACC bias and it shows....they valued the FSU win over UNC way more than OSU beating Kansas 2x

Different rules for the ACC. The committee was probably rooting for URI so ND could get in and give the league 10 teams.

A 10-loss UNC is a 2 seed. And gets a real cushy path. Makes you go... hmmmm.

Cuse and oklahoma were interesting to say the least.

But the one that no one seems to talk about is how overrated URI was, they did NOTHING to deserve anything more than a last 4 in bid

Michigan State beat Carolina also. But Rhody beat Providence from the great Big East.

while Im not high on the way they finished, their rpi is an outrageous 19, URI won the regular season A10, had a nonconference sos of 3 and beat PC and SHU ooc while beating Davidson once each plus a win over tourney bound Iona, nowhere close to bubble but I do not agree with their seeding of 7

Can I vote for multiple schools. Oklahoma at 18-13. Hah? Arizona State? Colorado is a better team.

Watching the oklahoma broadcast the other night during the b12 tourney the announcers were questioning if theyd accept an NIT bid, didnt even fathom the possibly theyd get a tourney bid

They really need a couple of retired basketball coaches on the committee. One from a power conference and one from a G5.

There really should be a rule that you can't get an at-large bid if you aren't at least .500 in your conference regardless of the perception of how tough the conference is.

the problem is these conference schedules are unbalanced, there are situations where a sub 500 belongs..certainly the conference schedules that Oklahoma and Texas played were way tougher than Nebraska

an easy fix would be to consider conference record and last 10 games finish as part of the criteria.
