I am firmly in the camp that RU WBB does not get enough props. After the glory years, RU teams probably got some amount of benefit of the doubt based on reputation for a couple of years. However, after the nadir occurred, the team remains underrated to this day. Of course, short but unfortunately timed stretches of poor play at the end of a couple of seasons have not helped. For at least ¿three? seasons, the squad played itself into the rankings (knocking on the door of the top 10 one year) only to hit a skid. I acknowledge that some of the poor play was relative to quality of opponent.
