It was a fun game to watch tonight, but pretty much what I expected. I was a little surprised by how good the defense was in spurts, as I thought we'd be pretty lax all game. I think we'll see a team that will be fun to watch throughout the year, but will be a team of streaks. There'll be some games where we shoot lights out and we'll steal a game or two and there'll probably a few games where we're ice cold and we'll see some lopsided losses or losses to inferior teams. Overall though, the future looks bright, especially when we add two legit PGs next year.

It was better than I expected. It’s only one game but Johnson, Harper, and Kiss exceeded my expectations. Omoruyi and Baker looked even more confident than last year. Doorson was Doorson, Thiam made a couple of aggressive moves early and Mathis just looked nervous.

The defense (esp the first half), Carter not being able to crack the rotation and Doucoure looking like exactly the same player as last year were my disappointments.

Overall, a definite net positive.

The key to this team is more offensive options which should minimize long scoring droughts. My biggest concern is at point guard where Baker plays 30 plus minutes per game and wears out mid season.Depth at point guard is a concern .
