Was an interesting comment, so I pulled up some of the numbers.
I looked at the conference average minutes played for all players who played in at least half of their team's conference games. We are one of just two teams that do not have anyone averaging 30+ minutes (the other being Wisconsin)... most have at least two (with Indiana and Penn St each having just one).
We also have just two players averaging more than 25 minutes, with only Penn St matching that.
Looking at the average minutes played across the five players on each team garnering the most minutes, our top five average 25.9 min/game... which is lowest of all B1G teams. Next closest is Penn St with 26.1, then Wisconsin with 27.0, then Indiana with 27.2.
Looking at the average minutes played across players 6-8 in the rotation, ours average 19.0 min... which is the most of all B1G teams. Next closest is Purdue with 17.9, then Wisconsin and Iowa with 16.8.
It seems like Rutgers, Wisconsin, and Purdue spread minutes the most. Michigan clearly spreads minutes the least (four players averaging 30+, top five averaging 31.6, next four averaging just 10.2).
Over the last two games, the average minutes by player were:

27.5 - McConnell

This is one team I really want to beat. We have a much better chance at home than at their place. On January 18, 2016 which was Eddie's last season Purdue beat us 107-57 at the RAC. We only had 7 scholarship players dressed and their back line was 6'10", 6'11" and 7'1". Their starters played almost the entire game. Three guys dressed and never got off the bench. Mike Williams was guarding a 6'11" guy and Omari Grier was guarding a 6'10" guy. They were playing volleyball off the backboards. The guy next to me sold his tickets to 2 Purdue fans who were celebrating every stinking play and laughing at RU. it was the most aggravating RU game I ever attended. They won by 50 points. I saw no sign of sportsmanship from Purdue at all. They just ran up the score on RU.The one fan who was acting like they were winning the NCAA Championship game finally said to me, "Maybe you can beat us in football". That night is in my mind forever.

Teams have missed a lot of relatively open threes against us. This component of our defense is probably mostly luck and will not continue at the same rate.
Purdue has always had our number and a team we unfortunately don't match up well with. Don't have a good feeling about tomorrow, but fingers crossed
Purdue also has a pretty deep bench, so I don't think they'll have fatigue issues to deal with. They have 9 guys who go at least 13 min/g.
The big question is whether their 3P shooters wake up.
On a per 40 min basis:
7.7 3PA, .097 3P% - Wheeler (.375 last year)
7.5 3PA, .327 3P% - Stefanovic (.419 last year)
If these two suddenly get unstuck from deep, that could be the X factor in this game. Really need to keep Wheeler frustrated

Completely disagree. It sounds kind of silly if I say "it's luck" that we have been a bad FT shooting team and that is bound to change or the fact that we shoot only 30.4% from three but that doesn't mean we aren't a good 3PT shooting team because 3PT% is a bad metric.
I am a fan of analytics in all sports. Metrics, stats and data are infinitely more valuable than "the eye test" in my opinion. The metrics and stats say what they say. Arguing against them flies in the face of the data. As an economist and "spread sheet jockey" you will have a hard time convincing me otherwise.

The thing with 3-point percentage is that
(1) it is high variance and
(2) even completely unguarded threes miss more than they go in.
For example, teams have shot 460 threes against us and made 140 of them (30.4%).
The NCAA average is 33.3%, which would be 153.3 made.
If teams are actually 33.3% against us from three, there would be a 10% chance for them to make 140 or less out of 460. That's not that low.
FWIW, I don't think Baker is really a 26.3% 3-point shooter either.
Which Rutgers did that following fall of 2016. 14-12. The only ever meeting (thus far) in football, so undefeated 1-0 against PU on the gridiron...take that! LOL

It was a total embarrassment as Purdue played ping pong getting one offensive rebound after another.It was a game of the giants versus the little guys and the Purdue fans enjoyed every minute.
Of course the team's goal should be that. But as fans hoping for the tournament, 1-1 each week is the baseline.

1. One starter had 21 minutes. The rest played fewer than 20 (ie less than half the game). If my addition was correct, the bench played 111 minutes compared to 89 for the starters.
2. We played 13 total players which was probably everyone on the roster that wasn't redshirting that year. Pretty sure that Eifert and Toyra were both walk-ons that year.
I can't dispute that you may have been sitting next to a couple of jackasses. We certainly have some just like pretty much every fan base. I deal with them from time to time myself. I can offer you my apologies for that but that doesn't make it right.
I just want to state the facts about our use of players that game. Coach Painter is fairly well respected in the coaching community and I can't recall a time where he did something like you described.
I did too. I drove an hour and half through traffic to get the game, and left at half-time. It was the worst live basketball performance I ever witnessed. Akin to leaving a Broadway play at intermission -- I've only done that once in my life.
Yeah, I noticed the same thing when I looked at the box score. I did not subject myself to the torture of watching that game.
It probably just felt like the starters played the whole game because man #12 was also killing us.
