Quayshon Alexander decommits from Nebraska (per reports)

LOL gotta love these Pitt guys talking sh*t when we don't have a full staff yet and our head coach hasn't spent a full week on campus yet. Good job flipping 2* OL and a 3* CB lol.

Guys leave Pitt alone. Their glory years are returning any day now. How do I know? Their fans have been telling us this for the past 15 years.

(Queue the predictable Pitt fan response "at least we had glory years")

Do you do any kind of research before posting? They have not just gotten Flood decommits and have recently gotten some nice recruits. I am not calling their class world beaters or saying we should fear them on the recruiting trail but your original statement was nonsensical. What will the narrative be if we flip Ffrench?

The narrative would probably be accurate. A brand new coach picks up a commit to fill out a recruiting class.

Now we know why Narduzzi wanted to coach here so badly. He loves all our two star players

Wow way to create a positive culture by dissing our players and recruits. All because you are obsessed with Flood. Move on you look foolish.

"look foolish"? For speaking the truth? You "move on." I'm 150% behind the new HC and this program and can't wait to see the team on the field next fall.

Agree with this. I'm not sure if Nuts realizes he is sh*tting on our current players by saying this. Dumb. And our kids are pretty decent ball players. Would love for one of them to challenge Nuts to a game of jump rope to see how much our athletes "suck."

Easily one of the most ridiculous things posters say on these boards. Hey, no question, Flood got some good kids here, but the bottom line is that his 1st 3 classes were what they were - not very good - this isn't exactly news. Now I am behind every single kid who puts our uniform on, always have and always will, to the bitter end, but calling out a coach, for his shortcomings, is far from anything new in the college athletics business.

The funny thing is people tear apart EJ's recruiting, tear apart DD's recruiting, tear apart other coach's recruiting efforts, and it's NEVER a problem. ONLY when people rip Kyle Flood for his recruiting issues do people get their panties in a bunch. Com'on man!

If that complete fabrication makes you guys feel better about your current situation...have at it. Pitt fans find the humor in it priceless.
We know what happened on our end. PN obviously was very discreet about it on his end and that's why you guys don't know anything about it. Long story short, we decided we wanted to go for a National Champion and PN had to stay at Pitt instead of returning home.

Narduzzi has 1 foot out the door, like the previous 4 Pitt Head Coaches.
You make no sense. You also have no clue. Narduzzi is entrenched and being from Youngstown he is home. The carousel at Pitt is over and our program is solid from coaches up thru administration. Get used to losing recruiting battles and getting recruits to flip to Pitt.

Narduzzi would have been at Rutgers for the right price. Playing in a rental stadium w little fan support ate at him.
I see him in the Big10 next season. Who can blame him. Just like the previous 6 Pitt HC's , they can't get out of there fast enough.

He may still leave before the Jan 2 in 2 weeks.

I feel bad that Pitt guys still don't believe that Narduzzi inquired about the Rutgers job. I've heard it from reliable sources who don't blow smoke up my @ss or are worried about the recruiting game that you think this "rumor" is about. I don't know if Narduzzi really wanted the job or was just using it as leverage to get his extension. But the fact is he inquired, get over it. Congrats on the commits, I was hoping Henry Miller would give Ash a chance to recruit him.

Pitt fans know it's inevitable Narduzzi leaves like the previous 5 guys that stayed less than a full season. It's the utlimate stepping stone job.

That's hilarious. Pitt fans know what really happened and why this lie was planted. It didn't work. Too funny.

And yet Pitt is able to flip several RU recruits and land kids RU is targeting. I guess when Narduzzi leaves, at least Pitt will have the good players he took from Rutgers...so there's that.

And you'll still be Rutgers

Several sources have told us about your coach. Believe what you want. Maybe you are one of the people who don't think we landed on the moon.

Don't recall Quayshon Alexander making any all-state teams. Was he hurt this year?

Wait, so first it was the last 4 coaches at Pitt that left, then your next post it was 6. Can you list the last 6 (or even that matter 4) coaches the left Pitt for another job, thanks.

Whoops sorry, before the 6 coaches that left Pitt I also saw in another post yuo said 5 coaches. Consistent much?

Bill Belichick and Urban Meyer would be at Rutgers for the right price too, but just like Narduzzi, neither is gonna happen.

Rutgers fans=delusional.

Sure they have-Rutgers Round Table. And you dopes can't even get where he's from right-he's from Youngstown, Ohio, not new jersey.

Where did he coach before? Big Ten.

LOL...so, he turned down Big Ten jobs before. So since he coached at Cincinnati before MSU, that means he's returning some day to the AAC?? Wow, I've never seen a program do nothing in it's history be so cocky for doing nothing, ever.

Nardinski wants back in the B1G. He really felt he could kill it here and he probably would have done a fine job, but we just liked Ash more and had to say no. He got more money which is good, but from what I hear pissed off a lot of people at Pitt. I'm sure they're embarrassed, but if he wins than I'm sure all will be forgiven amongst some of them.

Quite honestly, who cares about Pitt. They are getting some flips but that makes sense as they had a decent season, their coach had a good first year and for some of these NJ kids, they are not far from home and have a very good education.
We only replaced our HC a couple of weeks ago and don't have a staff in place. This is not going to be a long term battle , IF, Ash proves himself.

"Nardinski wants back in the B1G" Haha...you can't even spell the dudes name right....really...can you give me a specific job as he's already turned down Rutgers when Schiano left, Wisky, Purdue, and Minesota. They only jobs I can see him leaving Pitt for the B!G is MSU and tOSU.

"He really felt he could kill it here and he probably would have done a fine job, but we just liked Ash more and had to say no." So you tuned down both Narduzzi and Dan Mullen from MSU in the SEC (which is a far better conference than the B1G), both who have demonstrated success in big time college football, for a guy who has no head coaching experience and no track record as a head coach. Umm, ok, sure. You're just making it up as you go.

"but from what I hear pissed off a lot of people at Pitt." Come on dude, you're just making sh*t up now and you know it. I'm about as connected as it gets a Pitt is this is the furthest thing from the truth. But hey, good luck with Ash, he may be the next urban Meyer or the next Terry Shea for all anyone knows.

So, you're as connected as it gets a Pitt yet you are trolling a Rutgers forum? Did those connections help you find this Rutgers forum? It can be tricky navigating around the interwebs, I can see how connections would help.

Santa Claus is real too. Keep believing. Stepping stone Panthers

I think what makes this entire thread so funny is that while both of our programs aren't where we want them to be, one program is pointing up and doing well on the field and strong arming the other's recruits and photo days. The other program is reeling from poor coaches in hoops and football and bad pr and an overall muddled athletics department. Rutgers has never been relevant in any way in collegiate sports. You had a very small window with Schiano. You are in the B1G but it's not really helping. You are donating wins to other programs essentially. Keep holding onto the lie about Narduzzi while we continue gripping your top athletes.

He went behind Pitt's back, why would a Pitt source know anything? You don't even have proof.

"Rutgers has never been relevant in any way in collegiate sports."

Yet here you are !

Todd Graham was at Pitt for one year. Chryst was at Pitt for 3 years. Denying that these coaches used Pitt as a stepping stone job is burying your head in the sand. Now as far as Narduzzi goes, will he use it as a stepping stone too? Who really knows? But, yes I heard he inquired about the RU job but wanted too much money and in the end got what he wanted from Pitt. He may have just used the possibility of RU as leverage to get more money. And no one said RU turned down Dan Mullen. It was just said that he had mild interest in both the MD and RU jobs since he's from PA originally and MAY want to get out of Starkville. Again, in the end, wanted too much money for both MD and RU and deals couldn't get worked out. So ultimately, I don't think RU turned down Mullen or Narduzzi, but from what I've been told Narduzzi did inquire about the RU job. Who knows his motives? Id suspect that Narduzzi wants the MSU job when Dantonio is ready to retire, which given his health issues, can be sooner rather than later. I'd be shocked if Narduzzi is at Pitt longer than 4 years.

Your coach would rather work at Rutgers and he told us this directly.
Listen, I'm not going to be disrespectful on another message board, but just to set the record straight, Narduzzi was not interested in the Rutgers job, he didn't even talk to them. He was even angered to hear of the rumor. If you believe he wanted the job, then you are either naive or a Rutgers homer. He, and his family, love Pittsburgh, which is an hour from 'home'. If he leaves, and I emphasize if, it will be for a much higher-profile program than Pitt, and Rutgers doesn't fall in that category. Good luck to Coach Ash. I wish Rutgers success in the B1G, I'll be rooting for Rutgers, especially against the so-called bigwigs of the conference.

The government didn't bring down the towers, but the sPIT HC did look into other jobs that were available through his agent.
"Several Pitt sources have completely debunked the lie." Right[winking] [roll]

Yes an anonymous message board poster claiming something's a fact without valid proof is enough to make me believe he/she knows.
Glad the anonymous poster ( should be named Ripley instead of bz) has given us a choice.
I'll pass on the BS it tries to sell as fact and point out : past sPIT coaching history is the best proof of his/her lying about Narduzzi's interest in obtaining a moving van if :
