Thoughts on if his leg brace will be a regular thing or possibly removed once everyone is more certain of the healing process. I know he claims to be 100%, but it is not all that rare for a player to be saying that. I also understand that he looks really good at practice with the brace in place. Although I kind of like it staying, the one thing about his running was that he was not fast enough to elude tackles from behind and will this brace make him slower if he gets that break away.

He probably is 100% I know as an athletic trainer, depending on the doctor that did the surgery they have different protocols. Some have you be in a brace for 1 year post surgery others for 6 months and some not at all, usually depends on the doctors philosophy

I can't recall ever seeing a running back where a knew brace during a game. I'd be very surprised if he wears it on game days,

He should take the spikes off the heels of his shoes. He's a very hard heel planter

I didn't see every play but I don't remember anyone even coming close to catching up with him in space. Could be wrong, though.

Sssshhhhhhhh........we don't want the rest of the league to know he now has a bionic leg!

I had ACL surgery done a few years back. I was supposed to wear a knee brace (like what James is wearing - though actually model that was a little bulkier ... but I bet football programs have a more advanced knee brace available than what an ordinary joe like me would have) while playing basketball for about a year after I was allowed to play.

But the doctor also said it was more about my psychology, and would only really help SUPPORT the knee during normal stop and go movements. If I was hit on the knee in a way that could tear the ACL again the brace was not really going to prevent that.

Notice in all the pictures of the OL that almost all of them are also wearing similar knee braces ... obviously, these knee braces are for preventative purposes.

I can tell you the knee brace I wore after I started playing basketball again after my ACL recovery did not restrict my motion or flexibility in any way.

I sometimes wear a less intrusive knee brace (with the metal supports on the outside) even now - it helps me feel my knee is just a little more strong and stable - if my knee is feeling a little weak before I play ball.

The reference ,is outdated. In his very first years here he got caught a few times .He was quoted as saying thast he doesn't want that to happen again and he worked very hard to get his speed up. Which he did.PJ is rarely going to be caught from behind this season.IF he can operate at full speed.
