Quotes from Hicks and Heeman

I think you'd have a very difficult time finding any team out there where the players would openly say they don't have a strong bond with their coach, or that they don't think he's a great guy, or that they don't love him.

That doesn't in any way mean the guy who's their coach is qualified or competent to perform at a high level and put a consistently competitive team out on the field.

KF is getting well paid to be a D1 college coach, not win a popularity contest. -And if he gets fired, the next coach that RU hires will have the kids he recruits saying the same things about him.

Let's get one thing out of the way. I am not trying to pump up Coach Flood

Uh, yes that's in fact absolutely what you are doing. To post that and state otherwise is disingenuous.

Remember when Robinson's Syracuse team loved him especially after beating notre dame. Didn't mean he could coach a lick as a ceo.

I can only imagine what would be quoted here if we beat a bona fide team in the season finale. RU beat an out manned Army team with a qb who never played a snap but outplayed our 3 year have to play at all costs qb. But I'm not saying he is a bad RU ceo...

Never ascribe to malice, that which can be explained by incompetence.

Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.

(Or the rest of the B1G, hoping Rutgers keeps Flood, and in turn take 2-3 blue chip recruits and a W on Saturdays)

Learning on the job to be a successful head coach is something you learn at a lower level conference, not in the Big Ten!

"Anywhere coach puts me I'm going to do my 100 percent at all times," Hicks said. "I was just doing my job and helping out my teammates."

I believe that was Rettig who said this. Oh wait, I'm 100% sure it wasn't since coach won't put him in.
