Loudest arena I’ve been in is the one at Grand Canyon U. Just an amazing place. Don’t even have a good basketball team. Fans don’t care. They are organized. Never a break in the noise. Celebs show up because the university is backed by Jerry Colangelo and coached by Dan Marjele.
This is every game. Not a special occasion. The students have bought into this as a major social event.
Rick Pitino called it the toughest crowd he had faced in 40 years. Most of the teams on the posted list are tough because the teams are tough. This place is just pure basketball joy regardless of how good they are.
Fans show up an hour or more before the game and have a pre-game party and it gets louder during the game. I couldn’t hear myself think the whole game. This video is worth the watch. It’s an hour before the game starts.
