Carlos Baerga (sp?) of the Indians was the first to homer from both sides of the plate in one inning in April of 1993.

My guess was going to be two grand slams in one inning but Fernando Tatis did that in 1999, not 1979. So I'll go with the Cliff Claven answer of who was never in your kitchen and switch hit.
