Yawn. Kids probably been on campus 20 + times since 8th grade.
The chances are pretty good he's heading south but you still recruit the hell out of him. It doesn't hurt anyone.
Some folks need to stop taking all this recruiting stuff so personally. It's just business,
If by south you mean north.
Wow talk about unnessecary negativity. Rashan Gary is the number 1 recruit in the country and constantly being talked about as "in the mix" when recruiters talk about his recruitment. That alone is worth the money we "pay" for him to attend our games. Rutgers is associated with the #1 recruit in the country! That is called positive press. Learn the game guys... it is a positive for both parties involved.
Rutgers is not in the mix as much as you want to believe.
And I don't consider myself to be that negative.

What a complete hot-air posting.
This is the type of posting that I really hope everyone can see it for what it really is..... a posting of ZERO value. It is incredible how many people there are in this country who just say things while having no real insight lol.
First of all, you have no idea how "in the mix" I think Rutgers is with Rashan, so for you so say that he is not in the mix as much as I think is just a empty statement.
Second of all, you have no idea how in the mix Rashan considers Rutgers so for you to say that Rutgers is not as in the mix as I think he is ...is yet another empty statement.
So Janowski nothing personal against you, I just happen to have your example in front of me. But seriously people, lets start thinking about what we post rather than just complete hot air. It makes the forum much more cluttered than necessary.
Anytime brah.
Your insight is ZERO. The same as me. Unless you live inside Rashan Gary's head.
I always thought it was referring to the perspective of a chocolate chip or maybe a blueberry myself. Some people really don't know what "in the mix" REALLY means:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Hot air posting? Not quite.
I would love for Gary to come here, it would obviously be a game changer for Rutgers. But your statement that he's been constantly "in the mix" is not accurate. The past 6 months or so It's been said that he's headed to a big time program, and probably down South.
I just don't want people to get their hopes up, because we've seen this song and dance so many times. It is good that's he'll be in attendance with a bunch of his teammates who are top recruits however.
Rutgers has been in the mix of most of the top 10 ranked NJ recruits in the past few years. How many of them committed to Rutgers?
It's nice that he's coming but shouldn't that be the way that it should be be? He lives literally less than an hour away from Rutgers. RU should constantly get visits from the top NJ players. I would say that recently they have been getting a lot of high profile visits though which is great. They just haven't turned into many big time NJ commits. It's normal for a fan base that sees this constantly to be skeptical. The #1 recruit in the entire country that literally EVERY school in the nation would die for is choosing to attend OUR famous BLACKOUT game against the #4 team in the country. This is the type of stuff that Rutgers fans have been DYING for and now that we finally have it.... it seems like some people cannot see how incredible this is.
I can't tell if we just have some people on this board who are so negative that they literally cannot see the positive in

He lives in Scotch Plains- 2 towns away from Piscataway. Nothing to see here. It's nice that he's coming but shouldn't that be the way that it should be be? Being skeptical is one thing, but, when people say things they have no clue about it makes them look foolish.....like, "Rutgers is not in the mix". He'll now post....whatever brah
Well at least that makes two of us with zero insight. Have a good day, brah.

Most if not all the top ten NJ football recruits over the past four years have probably attended one or more Rutgers games. Yet ZERO have committed to the program. Attending a game does not mean very much, unfortunately. The #1 recruit in the entire country that literally EVERY school in the nation would die for is choosing to attend OUR famous BLACKOUT game against the #4 team in the country. I can't tell if we just have some people on this board who are so negative that they literally cannot see the positive in anything or if we just have people who have allowed their expectation to become SO bloated now that we are in the BIG10 that they are not happy with having the #1 recruit visiting us and would only be happy if he actually COMMITS to us. While obviously we would all LOVE this and it would go down in Rutgers history forever, but at the same time we have to remember that it is a MAJOR win just to have him at our BLACKOUT game and to be showing so much interest in our school.....it shows other recruits that there is obviously something special about Rutgers that he likes or else he would've just visited once and never again.
